West Chester Field Hockey

The West Chester Lacrosse Association Boys Summer League begins in June and runs through July, with 6 scheduled games per age group.  We recommend our Summer Camp for the interested player who wants to try lacrosse for the first time, as this is not instructional for brand new players.

 

Our Boys Summer League is a great opportunity for players to get game experience without having to travel great distances.  Games will be two 22-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime.  WCLA will provide refs and coaches to oversee the games and run the sidelines.  Games are "pick up" style each week, therefore summer teams are not formed.  Teams will be split by program affiliation so players will play with their friends.  Registration is limited and will close when we get to the desired number of players per age group.  

 

Early registration is recommended to reserve a spot, as the summer league is based on first come/first served.

Short fields will be utilized at the younger age groups (1st/2nd and 3/4th) to increase touches and promote skill development, as recommended by US Lacrosse.  Long field size will be used for 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade groups.

 

COST             

Early registration discount:  $155 per player

After 6/1/26:  $180

 

Goalies play free for Summer League:  Must be a goalie for all attended Summer League

games.  Goalie spots OPEN for 3rd/4th grade ONLY.  5th-8th goalie spots are FULL.

Interested Summer League goalies must complete THIS FORM.

*Please note, there are no make-ups for weather-related cancellations. If there are thunderstorms in the area, please remain close to the field in the event we need to clear the fields early. If a cancellation is necessary, we will update through TeamSnap. Please check your messages before leaving for games that evening.
