West Chester Lacrosse Association

Register now for the West Chester Field Hockey Recreational League!  WCFH welcomes 1st to 6th-grade players (for the 2025-2026 school year) who are eager to experience the game of field hockey.  Join us in a safe and supportive environment where skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship are prioritized.  Secure your spot today and get ready for an amazing season on the field!

PROGRAM DETAILS
Recreational level program for players grades 1st-6th.
WCFH’s program includes training sessions and games run by parent volunteer coaches.
Games are a mix of interclub and outside clubs, with referees.
We will be traveling for a few away games to other community clubs.

DATES
All practices on tentatively on Wednesdays  
Practice start date:  Wednesday, September 3

Games on Sundays, potentially a few games on Saturdays**
Game start date:   9/13/25 or 9/14/2025 (included 6 games)

10/25 or 10/26 reserved as weather make up dates for games

Wednesday practice locations:
1st/2nd Grade:   tentatively West Goshen Township Park  |   5:30 PM - 6:45 PM  |  Capped at 5 teams
3rd/4th Grade:   TBD   |  5:30 PM - 6:45/7:00 PM  |  Capped at 5 teams
5th/6th Grade:   TBD    |  5:30 PM - 6:45/7:00 PM  |  Capped at 2 teams

GAME FORMAT
1st/2nd Grade - 5 v 5 on ¼ size field
3rd/4th Grade - 7 v 7 on ½ size field
5th/6th Grade - 11 v 11 on full-size field

TEAM FORMATION
One mutual friend request is permitted at the time of registration.  We do our best to group players based on the player’s school in addition to a mutual friend request.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Appropriate sized field hockey stick, mouth guard, and field hockey shin guards
Uniform: WCFH issued pinnie, black shorts and black socks to be provided by players.

 

REFEREES NEEDED
WCFH is looking for high school or college aged students to help referee our Fall recreational league games. It’s a great way to earn some money while giving back to the sport they love!  For those who are interested, please email wcfieldhockey@yahoo.com
