2025 Boys Spring League

The WCLA Boys Spring League belongs to SEPYLA (www.sepyla.com) as an associate member in the South Division for the 5th/6th and 7th/8th age groups and will adhere to SEPYLA's guidelines.  All registered players for our Boys Spring Leauge will be placed on a spring lacrosse team.  For the 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade age groups (with the exception of one or two 3/4 teams who will play in the SEPYLA South Division), teams are run "in-house".  The WCLA Boys Spring League teams are staffed with paid former high school and collegiate players/coaches and experienced parent volunteers.  The coaching staff and West Chester Lacrosse Association directors will make team assignments for each division.  Players cannot "play up"; they must play in the grade they are in school.

REQUIRED BOYS LACROSSE EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR EACH PRACTICE/GAME

  • Lacrosse stick, lacrosse helmet, lacrosse gloves, lacrosse elbow pads, and cleats

  • Shoulder Pads with Chest protector: **As of January 1st, 2022, shoulder pads must be SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) certified and meet the NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) standard.  We require the standard external cardiac guard (EKG) shoulder pads with chest protectors. Please note that this is the only type of shoulder pads available in stores.

  • Players MUST have a mouth guard in order to play. Mouth guards that attach to helmets are extremely helpful.  Keeping an extra in your bag is highly suggested.  Coaches do not carry extra equipment to give out.

  • Protective cup is recommended.

  • WCLA recommends labeling all equipment and storing it in a backpack or lacrosse bag.

We need parent coach/assistant coach volunteers!  All Volunteer Coaches must register here:   Volunteer Coach/Assistant Coach Sign- Up
